CARTOGRAPHR CO is a young company founded with the goal of bringing the beauty of cartography into every home. To achieve this goal, we strive to depict detailed representations of countries and cities with all their geographical and infrastructural features. So that we can design wall art of your favorite places that is as beautiful as it is cartographically accurate, we use scientific data, including source data from NASA and OpenStreetMap.

When producing images, the quality of the end product essentially depends on two factors: first, the material of the paper being printed on, and second, the print itself. We print on high-quality fine art paper with a particularly clean surface. The matte finish allows highlights and different color tones to stand out especially well in print. The 200g paper is also characterized by its premium feel. For the printing process, we chose Giclée fine art printing decided on. In contrast to conventional printing methods, this offers significant advantages. It is used when producing fine art prints with pigment-based, archival-quality inks. Conventional printing technologies use only 4 primary colors to reproduce colors. Giclée prints, on the other hand, are based on up to 12 colors. This leads to noticeably smoother color gradients and a broader color gamut. Put differently, it creates more depth and richness in the final print, which helps create amazingly vivid artworks. This is of course noticeable not only in color reproduction, but also in black-and-white prints. Here, Giclée fine art printing stands out with especially deep blacks as well as precise gradations of black and gray tones. In addition to the higher-quality reproduction of our designs, Giclée fine art printing offers another key advantage. In contrast to other printing methods, Giclée fine art printing is distinguished by its longevity . This is due to the special archival-quality inks used in Giclée printers, which do not fade even when exposed to light, but retain their quality for decades. This means the colors and color transitions remain brilliant even after many years. We went through a long testing phase in which we tested and evaluated a wide range of print shops, printing techniques, and paper types.
